A Doggy Christmas

So it's that time of year again! Well actually... it is not even nearly Christmas yet but I thought it would be a great time to share with you my country gift guide for your special pup! My German Shorthaired Pointer is my bestest little friend, so any extra opportunity get Dido some new treats and toys I will take! As Dido is 2 and a half years old, she can become quite bored of her toys quite quickly (except her beloved cowy which she cannot sleep without!), so it is always fun to discover what toys and treats make her more excited than others. I have put this post together so it can give you some more inspiration on what to buy your special little friend and to give you an insight into some brands that I love which provide such great doggy bits and bobs!

Tuffies are the BEST DOG BEDS EVER! Dido has the DURASOFT TUFFIE NEST and I can honestly say I would never have any other dog bed but a Tuffies one. It is soft to the touch but it is so heavy duty and durable, it doesn't lose any shape and looks just as good as it did compared to when we first purchased it. The Durasoft nest is specially coated making it waterproof which, in turn, makes it SUPER easy to wash, the fabric doesn't go all gross and mangled and means that you won't have a smelly bed if your dog is one to get a bit mucky on their walks. Dido absolutely adores her nest bed as she is able to curl up inside and rest her head on the top and the walls of the nest trap in all of the heat to keep her toasty and warm. I will add a picture of how Dids sometimes likes to sleep in this bed (she isn't the most normal of dogs!).

We also have the TUFFIE NEST COVER to give Dido some extra comfort. The fleece material is the cosiest and softest thing EVER and I'm sure if Dids was able to tell you, she would be saying the exact same thing! It comes in so many different colours but being the "oh-so-adventurous" person that I am, I decided to choose Grey! Dido definitely loves her nest so much more with the fleece lining and you are actually able to wash this too, which is a great bonus!

This is a picture of Dido looking absolutely crazy in her Tuffies Nest bed. She loves her nest and tends to lay like this the majority of the time... if she isn't led like this then she will be either curled up in a ball, will have her head resting on the top or will look exactly like the other pointer in the first picture!

Barbour is a brand that never fail to impress. It feels so luxurious and classy, everything is made in such a beautiful way and is so durable. Although I have never bought any of the products they have to offer for dogs, I would love to be able to get Dido a few things from their collection. They do so many gorgeous different pieces, from dog coats to collars and leads in a range of different styles, fabrics and colours too!

The BARBOUR TARTAN DOG COLLAR is a firm favourite of mine and I am also a big fan of the matching lead too! I love how the design is so simple, but yet so imposing. This one is on the more premium side as the collar and the lead separately are priced between £30.00-£50.00 but they are still absolutely gorgeous nonetheless! The gold buckle looks to be heavy duty which would be just perfect for any dog, whether they are going for long walks, running round a farm or are just chilling at home.

The next item I love from Barbour is the QUILTED BOY DOG COAT in Olive (don't be fooled by the name, it is for the girlies too!), purely because I think the colour would look beautiful on Dido. This coat has a fleece lining and a gorgeous faux suede/waxy material on the collar which makes the coat look so deluxe and country esque! This one is priced between the £30.00-£40.00, which isn't too much at all for an extra special gift for your pup.

Moving on to Collared Creatures... this is a beautiful brand I found scouring through the wonderful world of Instagram. I have featured their DOG DRYING COAT in Green in this gift guide as I think it would make the best Christmas gift for your four legged friend, offering gorgeous country style and deluxe comfort. The dog drying coat has a micro cotton towelling inner and a fleece outer. I absolutely love the Green colour of this fleece drying coat, I think it completes the country look for your hound whilst keeping them dry and warm. I will definitely be looking to purchase this one for Dido!

Bath Country Pets is another beautiful brand I found scouring through Instagram and I have to say, I love pretty much everything. I have decided to feature the DEER ANTLERS from their online store in this gift guide as I think they are such great treats. Dido absolutely loves deer antlers to chew on or play with - they are low in fat, provide minerals and nutrients and also help to clean teeth, so I think they are the perfect gift for your pooch. Another great thing about these is that they last SUPER long and keep boredom at bay. Bath Country Pets is definitely worth checking out!

Another thing from Bath Country Pets that I think is a brilliant toy for your four legged friend are their ROPE BALLS. These toys look to be so robust and are great at helping remove tartar from your dogs teeth. I love all the colour choices for the rope balls and they are so inexpensive, placed at a bargain price of £6.00-£8.00 depending on the size you would like. The rope balls are definitely my favourite toys for Dids - they are the BEST for playing with on walks and she never seems to be able to chew or wreck these! I am definitely going to be purchasing one of these for Dido!

My favourite thing out of this entire gift guide has to be WOOFBOX. They offer a little bit of everything from toys to treats, grooming products to chews and so much more! You can order a gift box or it will come as a monthly subscription service to you from the choice of either 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. These boxes start from around £18.95 and are completely customisable and are catered for the size of your dog! I absolutely love the idea of Woofbox, you can't really go wrong! This is at the top of my Christmas list for Dido this year!
