This weekend I decided I'd try out some fun, quick and fairly easy treats and bakes so that anyone could give them a go without having a high level of baking skill (like myself..). Maybe you're the sort of person that normally messes up a cake from a packet or are just generally stuck for ideas on what to bake, then at least a handful of these will be right up your street, and you have no excuse if you mess up! I decided (along with the help of my wonderful boyfriend AJ) to do these all in one day, which was certainly do-able for those of you reading wanting to bake all of these tasty treats. By the end of it I had chocolate in my hair, shredded wheat in my pockets and the kitchen looked an absolute mess - it was all completely worth it though and everything was super tasty! I have listed all the ingredients and methods below for you guys!
Happy Friday everybody and I hope you all have an amazing, chocolate-fuelled weekend!

Ingredients:
200g butter
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
275g self raising flour
75g coco powder (if you do not want chocolate cookies then put the equivalent in flour)
a little dash of milk (if needed)
a large bar of dairy milk chocolate
a bar of milky bar chocolate
lots of kinder bars
(add what ever chocolate you like - these are my preferred options to use)
Method:
Set your oven to 200 degrees celsius
Cream together your butter and sugar
Crack in your egg to the mixture and stir well
Stir in all the dry ingredients
Add a dash of milk to the mixture if it appears to be dry
Break up all of the chocolate and throw it in, using your hands to get it into the dough
Line 2 trays with baking paper ready for your cookies (I put 6 on a tray at time)
Pick up small handfuls of dough, roll them into balls and place them on the tray ready to go into the oven
Pop them into the oven for 11 minutes and then leave them to cool
Enjoy a deliciously warm cookie!

Now this next one isn't very autumnal but I absolutely love it nonetheless!
Ingredients:
300g dairy milk chocolate
6 shredded wheat 'biscuits'
any topping of your choice
Method:
Start off by melting 300g of dairy milk chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling hot water
Once you have your melted chocolate, crumble in 6 bars of shredded wheat and stir everything until it is a chocolately mess
Spoon the mixture into pretty cupcake cases to create your chocolate nests and place in the fridge to set- no baking required and this is literally super duper easy!

Ingredients:
150g unsalted butter
400g milk chocolate
4 tablespoons of golden syrup
180g mini marshmallows
150g plain digestive biscuits
150g white chocolate
kinder bars (as many as you like)
Method:
Melt 150g of unsalted butter in a saucepan
Once the butter is half melted, add 400g milk chocolate (break the pieces up to make it easier to melt)
Add in 4 tablespoons of golden syrup
Remove the saucepan from the heat and leave to cool for around 10 minutes
Break up 150g of digestive biscuits (I normally put them into a bag and crush them with a rolling pin) but don't make these too small and fine as bigger chunks are actually better
Add the digestive biscuits to the mixture and stir in
Add all of your kinder bars to the mixture
Pour in 180g of mini marshmallows and stir well until everything is covered in chocolate
Distribute this evenly into a tin of your choice
Melt the last 150g of white chocolate and decorate the top of your rocky road

All of these treats are super quick and easy and do not require any skill at all. Make sure to tweet me or tag me in pictures if you bake anything too! I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
